I fled my abusive marriage in such a rapid way that I left almost all of my clothing and possessions behind. I was depressed and alone, but I was determined to be a good role model for my two young girls. I, like many other women, left my job to care for my children. I hadn’t been employed for over five years and the last job interview I had was over 10 years ago. I was most surprised to get a call for a job interview. Now comes the part where I was referred to you. I will never be able to express my feeling to you. I’m a small size and was given a dark teal suit and a knit outfit, and a couple of knit shells. I went on my interview, feeling extremely confident wearing my suit. I was hired on the spot! Thank you very, very much. You are angels.

Yesterday, I came to Clothesworks. I was outfitted with a lovely three-piece black suit and purple shell. To say that it far-exceeded my expectations is a gross understatement. I don’t know what to say to thank you. I had a terrific day today; I went to Woodbury commons this morning and met with the wonderful women at the Eileen Fisher outlet. My experience was fabulous, I can’t express to you the gratitude I feel. I was given some beautiful clothes, I feel like a million dollars wearing them. The women in the store were so helpful and kind to me. My heart is full, and I can’t thank you enough.
My personal life has been a constant struggle for the past few years, I feel as if I have been given a boost up, when I needed it the most. I remember my mother saying to me at one time, "look good, and you’ll feel good." You all have given me the opportunity to feel good. When I went on my interview in the suit you had fitted me with I felt confident and looked professional. I now have a part time job, "my sanctuary," and I am planning on returning to school soon to give myself a more direct career path.
